Ricardo is a technology executive, entrepreneur, speaker and author with more than twenty years across mobile technology, telecommunications, emerging technology and AI. He builds companies and products where technology meets the way people communicate.
Background
Ricardo's career spans mobile technology, telecommunications, IoT and machine-to-machine systems, big data, machine learning and AI. He has worked for organizations serving government and has worked extensively with government directly, alongside large enterprises. He has advised on commercial strategy, partnerships and executive communication for complex technology.
He is based between Thailand and Canada. Today he leads Toasty Media, which builds Toasty Studio and Toasty Peeps, and he develops a wider portfolio of companies and platforms that includes 8ALTA, Santati and Get Thai'd Down.
Recognition
Ricardo received two commemorations of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee in 2022, one from the Province of Alberta and one from the Government of Canada.
Provincial medal
Conferred by command of the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta in commemoration of the seventieth anniversary of Her Majesty’s accession to the Throne, and in recognition of valuable contribution to the province.
Certificate
The medal was accompanied by a certificate from the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, dated 2022, the year of the Platinum Jubilee.
Federal pin
The commemorative pin and certificate presented through a Member of Parliament on behalf of the Government of Canada, recognizing community leadership.
